United return to premier league action with it being almost 2 weeks since Wayne Rooney's shocking overhead kick volley edged out Manchester City at Old Trafford in a 2-1 win. Arsenal won midweek which means there is just one point which separates them from Arsenal so United will want to win their game in hand to keep the gunners at arm length this weekend whilst the gunners take on Birmingham in the Carling Cup Final on Sunday for the first silverware of the season.

Wigan since their rise to the premier league in 2005-06 have failed to take any points off United in any of the matches they have played. However United have been mediocre away from home this year in the league with only three wins out of twelve matches. It's something Wigan will be hoping continues when the sides meet at the JJB on Saturday and it is crucial that the club start putting some good form together under boss Roberto Martinez to ensure they are playing premiership football next season. The live match takes place at the JJB stadium and kicks off at 3pm.
