Liverpool 1 Wigan 1 highlights 12/2/11

Liverool are on the up and up as of late. Four wins in a row in the league including the impressive win at stamford bridge last weekend has lifted the gloom on Anfield and King Kenny has successfully raised spirit and hope in his Liverpool side of a champions league place for next season, which is now unbelievably a possibility. The defence has also been a key in the wins as they have not conceded a goal and now no one has form as good as Liverpools in the premier league and the team look revitalised by Kenny Dalglish after a miserable start of the season, the worst the club has seen for a very long time.

Roberto Martinez' Latics side by contrast are hobbling as they have leaked 9 goals in their four games and their defence will have to become more sturdy if they are to grab something from their trip to Anfield today. However they are coming into the match on the back of a dramatic 4-3 win at Blackburn last weekend ad so they will hope that the morale of the team will be boosted by that result. The match takes place at Anfield and kicks off at 3pm.
