Carling Cup Final Arsenal 1 Birmingham 2 highlights 27/2/11
It's believed that Sunday's match between the gunners and Birmingham should be a stroll for the gunners, certainly on paper. Arsenal have already beaten the blues home and away this season in the league and Arsenal's players are firing on all fronts and are excelling in all of the three other competitions they are in this season, in the champions league, the league and still in the FA cup. However as history as shown us nothing is certain in a cup final. Look at Wimbledon shocking Liverpool in 1988, Southampton beating Manchester United in 1976 or Sunderland beating Leeds in 1973.
The lower of the two teams in a cup final has the potential to turn over their opponents and Alex McLeish's men will be hoping that all of his players play out of their skin and that Arsenal are below par and they will be able to land the second major trophy in the club's history. The first being the same trophy, the league cup, which they won in 1963.
