Liverpool 1 Fulham 0 highlights 26/1/11

Liverpool seem to be on the rise after Sunday's performance at Wolves and particularly seem buoyed by Torres who scored 3 in the last 2 matches and will be hoping to return to the form he had in his early days at Anfield where he was banging them in for fun. This fixture hasn't been a pleasant one for Fulham in the past, with them famously being slaughtered 10-0 at Anfield in the second round of the league cup in September 1986. Steve McMahon scored four of the goals on that day with Ian Rush and John Wark both scoring two each and Ronnie Whelan and Steve Nicol scoring the other two.

Fulham seem to be in good spirits at the moment with January seeing them record 3 wins and one draw which is their best run of the season thus far. Marksman Andy Johnson is in scintillating form after his return from injury and his good displays has included a goal against Wigan, his first in the premier league for 2 season. New signing for Fulham Steve Sidwell will make his debut on Saturday but he could be lined up to make an appearance tonight should Mark Hughes see fit. The game takes place at the Anfield Road Stadium and kicks off at 8pm.
