Blackburn had a demoralising home defeat to Wolves on the opening day and will be hoping by the time they face Everton at Ewood Park, lightning won't strike twice. Rovers only just survived the drop last season and if they are to be safe this season they will need to avoid home defeats to teams such as Wolves. Everton are already playing catchup as their opening day fixture at Tottenham was cancelled so they now only have one game under their belt. Last season was a satisfactory one for the toffemen, finishing in the top half and they will want to build on that and possibly consider a europa league qualification for next season.
