The battle for the 5th place europa league qualification reaches fever pitch when on Sunday the only 2 candidates for the award play each other and if Liverpool win, the honour will go to them. Such a ridiculous prospect if this was considered back in December when it was all doom and gloom at Anfield with a dismal run of results and Roy Hodgson getting the sack. 6 months later the Reds lead by Liverpool's most famous player as manager, are favourites to take the europa league place for next season. Tottenham were hoping for a champions league place next season but poor form has seen them slip away and now only have the europa league to aim for.
