Pressure will be on liverpool to begin on a winning note in front of the anfield faithful as they open the season against Sunderland. Kenny Dalglish has increased the belief in the team and the supporters and the clubs greatest player has become a saviour figure for the Merseyside club who were wallowing down by the relegation places last christmas with no hope of a decent finish to the season. Sunderland will want to build on the mid table mediocrity they achieved last year and certainly try and finish above bitter neighbours Newcastle in the table.
