Reading 5 Arsenal 7 football highlights 30/10/2012

A quite astonishing game developed at the Madejski last night as the royals entertaining Arsenal, raced into a 4-0 lead within the first 37 minutes. Jason Roberts, A Koscielny own goal, Leigertwood and Hunt netted for Reading and it looked absolutely hopeless for the gunners from then on in as a good few Arsenal fans left early chanting "we want our arsenal back!". It turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes they will ever make!

Theo Walcott pulled back a goal just before half time which gave the visitors a glimmer of hope they full use of. In the second half Giroud Koscielny netted to make it 4-3 to Reading and with it looking like Arsenal had given to little too late and seconds to go in normal time, Walcott forced home an unbelievable equaliser to push the game into extra time.

As extra time opened Chamakh scored to make it 5-4 to the gunners and turn the tie completely on it's head. The gunners were in delerium only for the tie to AGAIN be thrown up in the air with a leveller from Pogrebnyak to make it 5-5.

With the game drawing to a close Walcott thumped the ball home to make it 6-5 and then Chamakh chipped the keeper to make it 7-5.

A thoroughly EPIC game from the Madejski and one that everyone watching was blessed to see!

Next stop for the gunners: Old Trafford! Where United put 8 past them last year. I can hardly wait!
