Manchester United are currently down in the dumps as far as their European campaign has gone. All they needed was a draw away at unfancied Swiss team Basel midweek to qualify for the latter stages of the champions league and they crashed to a 2-1 defeat which has left them with the booby prize of a Europa League place so with matches on a Thursday they now have a day less to prepare for weekend league matches. United's priority is now the league and will have to start building some serious form to derail Manchester City's charge at the top.
