Sunderland have had a poor start to the season in contrast to their respectable 10th place finish last season and they will be desperate to improve on that finish but at the moment things don't look good on their prospects. Fulham are just below them in 16th place and are things are harder for them to improve on their 8th place finish last term under new coach Martin Jol. Both clubs will be desperate for the 3 points which could launch them.
