Real Madrid 4 Tottenham 0 football highlights 5/4/11
Report: Tottenham were resoundly thrashed at the Bernabeau 4-0. Emmanuel Adebayor opened the scoring 5 minutes in and when Peter Crouch was sent off for 2 yellow cards shortly afterwards, it went from bad to worse for spurs. Adebayor got his and Madrids second early in the second half. Di Maria fired in a stunning third 15 minutes from the end and Cristiano Ronaldo rounded off the scoring 3 minutes from the end. Spurs will have to pull off the result of their history to turn this tie round.
Whilst Tottenham are newbies to this stage of the top European club competition, Real Madrid and their manager with the midas touch, Jose Mourinho haven't been showing displays of high confidence going into Tuesday night's clash at the Bernabeau as the form has been shakey and Mourinho has been seemingly displaying signs of mind games. He stated that Saturday's La Liga clash with Sporting Gijon was more vital for the Spanish Giants and they went on to lose the fixture and was in turn the first one Mourinho lost at home in 9 years of his managerial roles including Porto, Chelsea and Inter Milan. The self titled "special one" also claimed that Ronaldo along with other star Madrid players will sit it out against Tottenham whilst Spanish papers claimed the opposite.

With the defeat to Gijon at the weekend Madrid's title hopes are looking very slim and thus they will be placing primary importance on the champions league and it will be the main aim for them to capture the prize at Wembley come May. The live match takes place at the Bernabeau stadium and kicks off at 7:45pm.
