Bayern Munich 2 Inter Milan 3 highlights 15/3/11
Bayern Munich manager Louis Van Gaal has stressed that not even winning the champions league this season would reverse his decision to leave the german club at the end of this season. Bayern declared the news last Monday that he would be leaving by mutual consent this Summer after having a disappointing Bundesliga season with the German outfit. The position they are in the league and out of the domestic cups means the European cup is their only realistic possibility of silverware this season and the Dutchman says winning it would not change his mind on his decision to leave.
"It would change nothing,'' he said ahead of the second leg of Bayern's last-16 tie against Inter Milan. "We have decided to split because we have a different philosophy. We don't want to go through it all again. If we win the Champions League then I have done my job well,'' Van Gaal added. "Then the fans are happy, the club is happy and Bayern can move on with their next coach.'' He said: "I think Bayern is a super club, possibly the best organisation in the world. It is the kind of environment where a coach wants to work.''
