Wales 0 England 2 highlights 26/3/11
England eased past Wales comfortably with 2 goals in the first 15 minutes which proved too much for the welsh. Lampard scored a resulting penalty after Ashley Young was brought down and then shortly afterwards Darren Bent scored the second.
All the talk of late in the England camp has been of the furore created upon Fabio Capello reinstating John Terry as skipper of the England team going into this qualifier and a win for the three lions would see them sitting pretty at the top of group G. Terry has stressed that that is what the team need to look towards and knows if they don't come away from Cardiff with a victory then the blame will be thrown at his doorstep. The main reason why Terry has been honoured with the captain duties is because of Rio Ferdinand's ongoing injury issues and with the Manchester United player missing again it's expected that Michael Dawson will partner Terry at the back, just like they did in the February victory over Denmark.
Saturday also sees Wales first competitive match under the guise of new boss Gary Speed, who succeeds former manager John Toshack in December, after overseeing a 3-0 nations cup defeat to Ireland in his first match in charge. The live match stream takes place from cardiff's Millenium stadium and the match kicks off at 3pm.
