Villarreal have a somewhat tricky tie to open up their european campaign, having to take on Bundesliga runners up Bayern Munich. Although finishing runners up to Dortmund in their league, Bayern have a wealth of experience in the champions league and will be desperately wanting to restore pride after a dismal display last season domestically and in europe compared to 2009-10 season.
